Derek Lamar Fisher (born August 9, 1974) is a former American basketball player and current head coach of the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He last played for the Oklahoma City Thunder. His professional career has spanned more than 17 years, during which he has won five NBA championships with the Los Angeles Lakers. He has also served as president of the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA).
