Magic Mike XXL is an upcoming American comedy-drama film directed by Gregory Jacobs. It is the sequel to 2012 film Magic Mike. The film is scheduled for July 1, 2015 release.
TransAsia Airways Flight 235 (GE235/TNA235) was a Taiwanese flight from Taipei to Kinmen. On 4 February 2015, the aircraft serving the flight crashed into the Keelung River shortly after takeoff with 58 people on board. The pilots reported a flameout of one of the two turboprop engines just before the crash. This was the second fatal accident involving TransAsia Airways within a year, after Flight 222.
Randall Rudy “Randy” Quaid (born October 1, 1950) is an American actor nominated for a Golden Globe Award, BAFTA Award and an Academy Award for his role in The Last Detail. Quaid also won a Golden Globe Award and was nominated for an Emmy Award for his portrayal of U.S. President Lyndon Johnson in LBJ: The Early Years. Quaid is well known for his roles in the National Lampoon’s Vacation movies, Brokeback Mountain, Independence Day and Kingpin.
Muath Safi Yousef Al-Kasasbeh (May 29, 1988 â January 3, 2015) was a Jordanian pilot who was murdered by ISIL. The plane he was piloting, a Lockheed Martin F-16, crashed after mechanical problems on December 24, 2014 though ISIL claims it shot the aircraft down. He was captured by ISIL terrorists near Raqqa, Syria. He was threatened with execution but there were negotiations to release him. However, ISIL decapitated his co-prisoner, a Japanese journalist, and subsequently burned al-Kaseabeh alive.
Jupiter Ascending is a 2015 space opera film written, produced, and directed by The Wachowskis. The film is centered on Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis), a down-on-her-luck janitor, and Caine Wise (Channing Tatum), an interplanetary warrior who informs Jones that her destiny extends beyond Earth. Supporting cast member Douglas Booth has described the film’s universe as a cross between The Matrix and Star Wars while Kunis named its underlying themes as indulgence and consumption.
Nelle Harper Lee (born April 28, 1926) is an American novelist. She is best known for her 1960 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel To Kill a Mockingbird, which deals with the issues of racism that she observed as a child in her hometown of Monroeville, Alabama. Despite being Lee’s only published book, it led to her being awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom for her contribution to literature. Lee has received numerous honorary degrees but has always declined to make a speech.
