The Pokémon franchise has 719 (as of the release of Pokémon X and Y) distinctive fictional species classified as the titular Pokémon. This is a selected listing of 70 of the Pokémon species, originally found in the X and Y versions, arranged as they are in the main game series’ National Pokédex. It is currently unknown if more Pokémon were added in X and Y.
