Boss’s Day is a secular holiday celebrated on October 16 in the United States, Canada, Lithuania and Romania. It has traditionally been a day for employees to thank their bosses for being kind and fair throughout the year. This day was created for the purpose of strengthening the bond between employer and employee. Although the holiday is still controversial, it has become increasingly popular since its creation.

Ebola virus disease (EVD), Ebola hemorrhagic fever (EHF) or simply Ebola is a disease of humans and other mammals caused by an ebolavirus. Symptoms start two days to three weeks after contracting the virus, with a fever, sore throat, muscle pain and headaches. Typically, vomiting, diarrhea and rash follow, along with decreased function of the liver and kidneys. Around this time, affected people may begin to bleed both within the body and externally. Death, if it occurs, is typically 6 to 16 days from the start of symptoms and is often due to low blood pressure due to fluid loss.

Vinson Filyaw (born December 15, 1969) is a former construction worker convicted of kidnapping and raping Elizabeth Shoaf, a 14-year-old girl from Lugoff, South Carolina, in 2006, holding her captive in an underground bunker. Filyaw had built the bunker to elude police who were seeking him for the rape of Amberly Rose Shook. A former girlfriend of Filyaw’s made an anonymous call to Kershaw County’s Department of Social Services that alerted the police to him. Filyaw’s girlfriend was also arrested on charges of aiding and abetting the abduction.

A replicant is a fictional bioengineered or biorobotic android in the film Blade Runner (1982). The Nexus seriesâgenetically designed by the Tyrell Corporationâare virtually identical to an adult human, but have superior strength, agility, and variable intelligence depending on the model. Because of their physical similarity to humans, a replicant must be detected by its lack of emotional responses and empathy to questions posed in the fictional Voight-Kampff test. A derogatory term for a replicant is “skin-job.” (Note: This term reappears in the reimagined Battlestar Galactica in derogatory reference to Humanoid Cylons â who could also be considered a type of replicant.)
