Texas state capitol in AustinThe 2008 Texas Longhorn football team (variously “Texas” or the “Horns”) represented the University of Texas at Austin in the 2008 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was coached by Mack Brown, who has a contract lasting through the 2016 season. The Longhorns play their home games in Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium (DKR), which during 2006–2008 was undergoing renovations to improve older sections as well as to add extra seating capacity.

NHL Chicago Blackhawks Celebrate“Chelsea Dagger” is a song by Scottish rock band The Fratellis and their second single. It was released on 28 August 2006. It is taken from their debut album Costello Music, which was released in the United Kingdom on 11 September 2006. It is supposed to be named after Jon Fratelli’s wife Heather, a burlesque dancer whose stage name – Chelsea Dagger – he borrowed for the song.

KXAN

KXAN-TV, virtual channel 36 (UHF digital channel 21), is an NBC-affiliated television station located in Austin, Texas, United States. The station is owned by Media General, and is a sister station to MyNetworkTV affiliate KBVO (channel 14); Media General also operates CW affiliate KNVA (channel 54) under a local marketing agreement with owner Vaughan Media. All three share studios on West Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard (between the Old West Austin section of Austin and the University of Texas at Austin campus), KXAN’s transmitter is located at the West Austin Antenna Farm north of West Lake Hills. Syndicated programming on KXAN includes Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy!, Castle, Dr. Phil and Rachael Ray.
