Cossacks

CossacksCossacks (Ukrainian: козаки́, koza’ky; Russian: казаки́ pronounced [kəzɐˈkʲi] or каза́ки [kɐˈzakʲɪ], kazaki are a group of predominantly East Slavic people who became known as members of democratic, semi-military communities, predominantly located in Ukraine and in Russia. They inhabited sparsely populated areas and islands in the lower Dnieper, Don, Terek, and Ural river basins and played an important role in the historical and cultural development of both Russia and Ukraine.

Molly Ringwald

Molly RingwaldMolly Kathleen Ringwald (born February 18, 1968) is an American actress, singer, dancer, and author. Her first major role was in The Facts of Life (1979–80) before making her motion picture debut in the independent film Tempest (1982) that earned her a Golden Globe nomination. After subsequently appearing in the successful John Hughes films Sixteen Candles (1984), The Breakfast Club (1985), and Pretty in Pink (1986), Ringwald became a teen icon. She later starred in The Pick-up Artist (1987), and For Keeps (1988). She starred in many films in the 1990s, most notably Something to Live for: The Alison Gertz Story (1992) and The Stand (1994). Ringwald is part of the “Brat Pack” and she was ranked number 1 on VH1’s 100 Greatest Teen Stars. She has played Anne Juergens in the ABC Family show The Secret Life of the American Teenager and released her debut album Except Sometimes in early 2013.

Waco shooting

Shooting Star Night SkyWaco: The Rules of Engagement is a 1997 documentary directed by William Gazecki about the 1993 “Waco Siege”, a 51 day standoff beginning with the February 28 Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms assault on the Branch Davidian church and home outside of Waco, Texas and ending with the April 19th Federal Bureau of Investigations assault on the building which killed most of the inhabitants. The film was spearheaded by Second Amendment activist turned filmmaker Michael McNulty who spent twenty-eight months and $400,000 developing the film. Later former CNN business news reporter Dan Gifford and his wife Amy Sommer Gifford came in as co-producers, supplying almost another one million dollars. Director William Gazecki joined McNulty in traveling the country to interview and film participants for the film. Gifford, Gazecki and McNulty wrote the script.

The city had a 2010 population of 124,805, making it the 22nd-most populous city in the state. The US Census 2013 population estimate is 129,030. The Waco Metropolitan Statistical Area consists of McLennan and Falls Counties, which had a 2010 population of 234,906. Falls County was added to the Waco MSA in 2013. The US Census 2013 population estimate for the Waco MSA is 258,974.
