Elisha Archibald “Archie” Manning III (born May 19, 1949) is a former professional football player, a quarterback in the National Football League. He played for the New Orleans Saints from 1971 to 1982, then for the Houston Oilers and Minnesota Vikings. Manning is the father of current Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, current New York Giants starting quarterback Eli Manning, and former Ole Miss receiver Cooper Manning.
