Ice hockey is a team sport played on ice in which skaters use sticks to shoot a hard rubber hockey puck into their opponent’s net to score points. In some countries, such as Canada, the United States and those of Europe like Sweden among others, it is known as “hockey”; the name “ice hockey” is used in countries where “hockey” generally refers to field hockey.
Sarah Burke (September 3, 1982 â January 19, 2012) was a Canadian freestyle skier who was a pioneer of the superpipe event. She was a four-time Winter X Games gold medallist, and won the world championship in the halfpipe in 2005. She successfully lobbied the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to have the event added to the Olympic program for the 2014 Winter Olympics. She was considered a medal favourite in the event. Burke died following a training accident in Utah.
Danny Granger, Jr. (born April 20, 1983) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is mainly a small forward, though he does log time at the power forward position. He is also able to initiate the team’s offense and so is regarded as one who can play the point forward position. Before his professional career, he went to Grace King High School in Metairie, Louisiana where he was a McDonald’s All-American nominee before his senior year. He was a good student who scored a 30 on the ACT and was offered admission to Yale University. He played for Bradley University and then transferred to University of New Mexico in the middle of his sophomore year.
Kate Rooney Mara (born February 27, 1983) is an American television, stage and film actress. She starred in House of Cards as Zoe Barnes and appeared in 24 as computer analyst Shari Rothenberg. She made her film debut in 1999 with Random Hearts. She appeared in Brokeback Mountain (2005), We Are Marshall (2006), Shooter (2007), Transsiberian (2008), Stone of Destiny (2008) and The Open Road (2009). She also appeared in the horror mini-series American Horror Story: Murder House as Hayden McClaine. She has been cast as Invisible Woman in The Fantastic Four (2015).
Bree Walker (born Patricia Lynn Nelson; February 1953) is a radio talk show host, actress, and disability-rights activist, who gained fame as the first on-air American television network news anchor with ectrodactyly. Walker worked as a news anchor and/or reporter in San Diego, New York City, and Los Angeles.

She is also the first female figure skater to land three triple axels in one competition, which she achieved in 2010 Winter Olympics. She is the 2010 Winter Olympic silver medalist, a two-time (2008 and 2010) World champion, the 2007 World silver medalist, 2013 World bronze medalist, a three-time (2008, 2010, and 2013) Four Continents champion, and a four-time (2005â2006, 2008â2009, 2012â2013, 2013â2014) Grand Prix Final champion. The 2014 Venezuela protests (also called 12F and The Exit) are a series of protests against the government of Venezuela and president Nicolás Maduro. Reasons for the protests include human rights violations, chronic scarcity of basic goods, and high levels of criminal violence. The inflation rate for 2013 was 56.2% and the scarcity index had been near 20% throughout 2013. In response to the inflation Maduro has increased the minimum wage, the legal minimum for full time workers and for pension, by the same percentage as the inflation: 59% between May 2013 and January 2014.
