Andrea Bargnani Italian pronunciation: [anËdrÉa barËÉ²ani], nicknamed “Il Mago” (translated to “The Magician”), (born 26 October 1985 in Rome, Italy) is an Italian professional basketball player with the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected first overall in the 2006 NBA Draft. He is a power forward/center standing at 213 cm (7 ft 0 in) and weighing 116 kg (256 lbs). Prior to his NBA career, Bargnani played for Benetton Treviso in the Italian Lega A and the Euroleague. In his first two seasons with the Raptors, he helped the team reach the NBA Playoffs, including the Atlantic Division title in 2006â07.

The 2013 BET Awards will be held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California on June 30, 2013. The awards ceremony recognize Americans in music, movies, sports and other fields of entertainment over the past year. Chris Tucker will host the event. The BET Awards nominations were announced May 14, 2013 at a press conference on the rooftop of L.A.’s Icon Ultra Lounge, just up the street from the Nokia Theatre, where the BET Awards will be staged for the first time. Chris Brown was announced as the first confirmed performer. Charlie Wilson was announced as this year’s Cadillac Lifetime Achievement Award honoree. R. Kelly will also perform at the awards show. This year’s show will be the culmination of the cable network’s first ever BET Experience, a three-day music and lifestyle fest done in partnership with AEG Live.

The knockout stage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup was the second and final stage of the World Cup, following the group stage. It began on 26 June with the round of 16 matches, and ended on 11 July with the final match of the tournament held at Soccer City, Johannesburg, in which Spain beat the Netherlands 1â0 after extra time to claim their first World Cup. The top two teams from each group (16 in total) advanced to the knockout stage to compete in a single-elimination style tournament. A third place match is included and played between the two losing teams of the semi-finals.

The NHL Entry Draft is an annual meeting in which every franchise of the National Hockey League (NHL) systematically select the rights to available amateur ice hockey players who meet draft eligibility requirements (North American players 18â20 years old and Europeans of all ages entering league for the first time, all others enter league as unrestricted free agents). The NHL Entry Draft is held once every year, generally within two to three months after the conclusion of the previous season. During the draft, teams take turns selecting amateur players from junior, collegiate, or European leagues.
