Devin Devorris Hester (born November 4, 1982) is an American football player for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). He is primarily a return specialist, though he is officially listed as a wide receiver and was drafted as a cornerback. From 2007-2012, the Bears employed him on offense as well as special teams, but as of 2013 he has been solely a kick and punt returner. He played college football for the University of Miami, where he was the first player in the universityâs recent history to play in all three phases of American football (offense, defense, special teams).
