Dominick George “Don” Pardo (February 22, 1918 â August 18, 2014) was an American radio and television announcer, who was best known for his work on the long-running late night sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live. He was the announcer of Saturday Night Live for all but one of its seasons. He continued to provide voiceover services during the program’s opening montage, several years after his retirement from NBC.
