Holy Week (Latin: Hebdomas Sancta or Hebdomas Maior, “Greater Week”; Greek: á¼Î³Î¯Î± καὶ Îεγάλη á¼Î²Î´Î¿Î¼Î¬Ï, Hagia kai Megale Hebdomas, “Holy and Great Week”) in Christianity is the last week of Lent and the week before Easter. Associated with it is the religious holiday of Friday of Sorrows, while the week itself includes Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday (Holy Thursday), Good Friday, and Holy Saturday. It does not include Easter Sunday, which is the beginning of another liturgical week.
