During the presidency of Barack Obama, several Republican politicians have commented that Obama may have committed impeachable offenses. Rationales offered for impeachment have included allegedly unauthorized use of military force in the Libyan civil war, and the Administration’s response to the 2012 Benghazi attack. No Congressional Representative has drawn up a list of articles of impeachment and proposed them to the Judiciary Committee, as happened in the efforts to impeach George W. Bush.
