Aaron Charles Rodgers (born December 2, 1983) is an American football quarterback for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He was selected in the first round (24th overall) of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Packers. He was picked 23 picks after San Francisco 49ers quarterback, Alex Smith. Rodgers was expected to go earlier in the draft, but as a first round pick. Rodgers played college football at the University of California, Berkeley, where he set several California Golden Bears records, including lowest single-season and career interception rates at 1.43% and 1.95%, respectively.
