The January 2015 nor’easter (also known as the Blizzard of 2015, and controversially named “Winter Storm Juno” ) is an extremely powerful active nor’easter, a type of winter storm, across the Central and Eastern United States, and is part of the 2014â15 North American winter. It disrupted transportation, with snow emergency declared in six states and travel bans in New Jersey and New York City. Most passenger rail service was suspended, and thousands of flights were cancelled.
