Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan is an American actress and pop singer. Lohan made her film debut in the 1998 remake The Parent Trap prior to appearances in Freaky Friday in 2003, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and Mean Girls both in 2004. Having begun showcasing her singing through her acting roles as well as recording songs for the soundtracks of both Freaky Friday and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, Lohan launched a music career in 2004. Her debut album, Speak, was released by Casablanca Records in December 2004. The album spawned three singles, “Rumors” (released September 21, 2004), “Over” (released December 14, 2004) and “First”.

Considered one of the most significant authors of the 20th century, he was awarded the 1972 Neustadt International Prize for Literature and the 1982 Nobel Prize in Literature. He pursued a self-directed education that resulted in his leaving law school for a career in journalism. From early on, he showed no inhibitions in his criticism of Colombian and foreign politics. In 1958, he married Mercedes Barcha; they have two sons, Rodrigo and Gonzalo. Gabriel García Márquez died on April 17, 2014.

South Korea ferry

Ferry to Nami island, South KoreaThe South Korean civilian ferry Sewol (Korean: 세월) capsized on April 16, 2014. It was carrying about 459 people, mostly secondary school students from Danwon High School (Ansan) who were travelling from Incheon to Jeju. The 6,825-ton vessel sent a distress signal from about 20 kilometres (12 mi) off Byungpoong Island at 08:58 Korea Standard Time (23:58 UTC). Many passengers were rescued by fishing and other commercial vessels, which were first on the scene before the arrival approximately 30 minutes later of Korean Coast Guard and ROK Navy ships, backed by helicopters. There are ongoing rescue effects by the South Korean government, civilian groups and individuals, and the Uinted States Navy.
