Season one began on Sunday, March 3, 2013 and will consist of eight episodes. The series is based on a 2010 Dutch drama entitled Penoza created by Pieter Bart Korthuis and Diederik van Rooijen.
The Bible is a television mini-series, produced by Roma Downey and Mark Burnett, which is based on the Bible. It began March 3, 2013, airing weekly in primetime on the History channel, culminating on March 31. Burnett considers the scripted 10-hour series to be the “most important” project he has undertaken. The project was conceived by Burnett and Downey, who are married, after watching Cecil B. DeMille’s version of The Ten Commandments for the first time since childhood. The series will be Mark Burnett’s first scripted project. In addition to Burnett and Downey, executive producers include Richard Bedser and History’s Dirk Hoogstra and Julian P. Hobbs.
Dennis Keith Rodman (born May 13, 1961) is a retired American Hall of Fame professional basketball player, who played for the Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, and Dallas Mavericks in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Born in Trenton, New Jersey, he was nicknamed “The Worm” and was known for his fierce defensive and rebounding abilities. Playing small forward in his early years before becoming a power forward, Rodman earned NBA All-Defensive First Team honors seven times and was voted NBA Defensive Player of the Year twice. He led the NBA in rebounds per game for a record seven consecutive years and won five NBA championships. His biography at NBA.com states that he is “arguably the best rebounding forward in NBA history.” On April 1, 2011, the Pistons retired Rodman’s No. 10 jersey, and he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame later that year.
Ben Haggerty (born June 19, 1983), also better known by his stage name Macklemore and formerly known as Professor Macklemore, is an American rapper and musician. Macklemore works with Ryan Lewis (producer), Andrew Joslyn (violin) and Owuor Arunga (trumpet). Haggerty has been releasing music independently since 2000, and has since gained a significant online fanbase. He has released one mixtape, three EPs and two albums, none on a major record label. His music video “Thrift Shop” has been viewed on YouTube more than 135 million times, and reached number 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart, selling more than 2.2 million copies.
