Martin Fitzgerald Lawrence (born April 16, 1965) is an American actor, film director, film producer, screenwriter, and comedian. He came to fame during the 1990s, establishing a Hollywood career as a leading actor, most notably in the films House Party, Bad Boys, Blue Streak, Life, Big Momma’s House and A Thin Line Between Love & Hate. Lawrence has had numerous film roles and his own highly rated eponymous television series, Martin, which aired on the Fox network from 1992 to 1997. In 2004, he was listed No.37 on Comedy Central’s list of “100 Greatest Standups of All Time”.
