James Joseph “Jim” Harbaugh (/ËhÉrbÉË/; born December 23, 1963) is an American football coach and former quarterback who is the head coach for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). Jim Harbaugh played college football at the University of Michigan and was a quarterback in the NFL from 1987 to 2000. Harbaugh has been a football coach since 1994 and first served as a head coach in 2004 for the University of San Diego. After coaching Stanford football from 2007 to 2010, Harbaugh became San Francisco 49ers head coach in 2011.
