Jenny Sarah Slate (born March 25, 1982) is an American actress, stand-up comedian, and author best known for her breakout role as Donna Stern in the 2014 Sundance film Obvious Child, as well as being the co-creator of the Marcel the Shell With Shoes On short films and children’s book series. She is also known for her season as a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 2009 to 2010, and for her recurring roles on House of Lies, Parks and Recreation, Bob’s Burgers, and Kroll Show. She currently co-stars in the FX comedy series Married.
