This 81st Sugar Bowl will match the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Ohio State Buckeyes, with the winner advancing to the College Football Playoff Championship Game to be played January 12 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. It is one of the 2014â15 bowl games that will conclude the 2014 FBS football season. Sponsored by the Allstate insurance company, the game is officially known as the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
