New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde has recorded songs for one studio album, one extended play (EP) and guest features. At the age of 13, she was signed to Universal Music Group (UMG) and started to write music. In November 2012, when she was 16 years old, she self-released The Love Club EP via SoundCloud. It was made available for purchase in March 2013. The EP comprises five songs written by Lorde (credited by her real name Ella Yelich-O’Connor) and Joel Little: “Bravado”, “The Love Club”, “Biting Down”, “Million Dollar Bills”, and Lorde’s debut single, “Royals”. On the US iTunes Store edition of the EP, “Royals” is replaced by “Swingin Party”, a song written by Paul Westerberg and originally recorded by The Replacements.
