William Francis “Bo” Ryan, Jr. (born December 20, 1947) is an American basketball coach and former player. He is the current head coach of the University of WisconsinâMadison Badgers men’s basketball team, a position he has held since 2001. Ryan served as the head men’s basketball coach at the University of WisconsinâPlatteville from 1984 to 1999 and at the University of WisconsinâMilwaukee from 1999 to 2001. On February 14, 2015, Bo Ryan was named a finalist to be considered for election in the Class of 2015 for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
